Sweet Smiles Dental Services is owned by Stephanie Swett. Steph has been a dental hygienist for over 20 years and has worked in pediatrics, as a clinical instructor at the University of Maine, in traditional dental offices and has experience with periodontal soft tissue management programs and caring for denture and partials.

    SWEET SMILES POLICIES

    PATIENT INFORMATION
    Please take the time to familiarize yourself with our policies at Sweet Smiles.
    APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION

    We request confirmation within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment. If we do not receive confirmation, your appointment will be removed from the schedule.

    RESCHEDULING FEES

    Rescheduling a confirmed appointment with less than 24 hours notice will incur a rescheduling fee.

    MISSED APPOINTMENTS

    New patients who miss a confirmed appointment will not be rescheduled at this office.

    Existing patients who miss a confirmed appointment will be subject to a rescheduling fee. Missed a second appointment? You may be dismissed from the practice.

    PEDIATRIC PATIENTS

    For young children, we ask parents to wait in the waiting room or at the doorway. This allows our team to better communicate with and educate your child about their dental hygiene.

    PATIENT PHOTO

    A patient photo is mandatory for your medical chart. If you decline to provide a photo, you may submit a photo ID instead.

    PATIENT DISMISSAL

    We have the right to dismiss a patient at any time if they do not comply with our office policies.

    Inappropriate or aggressive behaviors towards our staff will also result in being dismissed from the practice.

    PAYMENT AND INSURANCE

    We accept most dental insurance as an out of Network provider,

    HOWEVER

    We are in-network with NORTHEAST Delta Dental & MaineCare ONLY

    What does this mean?

    We will estimate what your insurance will cover and collect the difference the day services are rendered.

    If the patient’s insurance company does not cover all the charges from the appointment with us, then the patient would be liable to make payment for the outstanding balance.
